Flood in Punjab: Punjabi singers came forward to help, from Gurdas Maan to Satinder Sartaj announced help

Punjabi singers had a significant contribution in the farmers’ movement, who along with the Kisan Samyukta Morcha supported the movement at every step. Now when nature is wreaking havoc in Punjab, the singers of Punjab have started coming forward to help.

The situation in Punjab is terrible due to floods. Meanwhile, Punjabi singers have extended their hands for help by trying to heal the wounds of Punjabis.

Singer Gurdas Maan has announced to give Rs 25 lakh for the flood affected people. Gurdas Maan is an icon of Punjabis. At the same time, Satinder Sartaj sent one month’s ration for 500 families in Ajnala, Amritsar. Punjabi singer Jasbir Jassi, who gained fame with the song “Dil Le Gayi Kudi Gujarat Ki”, is himself helping at the grassroots level. He released a contact number so that his team can deliver relief material in case of need from the affected area.

Guru Randhawa set up relief fund

Singer Guru Randhawa set up a relief fund and shared information about relief camps on social media. Karan Aujla donated a motor boat to the NGO, with the help of which relief workers can reach Ajnala, Fazilka areas and distribute relief material. Gippy Grewal sent trucks of animal fodder.

Babbu Maan has announced to donate the money from his shows to Punjab flood relief. Ranjit Bawa announced to donate the proceeds from his tour shows to Punjab flood relief. Punjabi singer Jas Bajwa was involved in relief work and especially emphasized the need for animal fodder. Babbu Maan is going to have many shows in Canada. He has said that he will donate the money from all these shows for relief.

Satinder Sartaj’s foundation is active in Ferozepur and Fazilka and he has encouraged people on social media to join the rescue. Daljit Dosanjh has also announced help. His team is active in Majha area.
