On Tuesday, Punjab Police reached Dabri village in Karnal to arrest Sanaur’s AAP MLA Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra. He escaped by dodging the police.
AAP MLA from Patiala Sanaur constituency Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra, who escaped from police custody in Karnal, Haryana, has released a video and alleged that Punjab Police wants to encounter him.
Pathanmajra said that someone had informed him about this by phone, so when the police arrived, he kept them busy with tea and water and gathered some of his people and left from there, but the police chased him and tried to kill him. With the grace of Waheguru, he somehow escaped and reached a safe place.
Denis clash with police
Pathanmajra has also denied any clash with the police. Pathanmajra said that the policemen should either go to the Guru’s house and say this or swear on their children that they had a quarrel with the policemen. There was no scuffle between them and the police. Nor were bullets fired at them. Pathanmajra said that 8 to 10 SPs, DSPs and many SHOs were sent along with 500 police personnel to arrest him. All this was done to show him as a fugitive gangster. Pathanmajra appealed to all the MLAs of Punjab to strongly raise their voice against the government.
AGTF is conducting raids, Punjab Police reached Karnal
The teams of Patiala Police along with Anti Gangster Task Force (AGTF) are conducting raids at various places to arrest MLA Pathanmajra. On Tuesday night, the Punjab Police team again reached village Dabri in Karnal in search of him. At night, the team searched the government CCTV cameras installed in the village. On Wednesday also, the team knocked on every street and every house in the village and checked the CCTV footage installed outside.
Case registered against villagers
On the complaint of Patiala police, Sadar police station has registered a case against the villagers of Dachar for obstructing government work, getting the accused MLA released from police custody and intimidating the police party. The accused arrested by Punjab Police has been taken into custody for questioning. Along with this, the vehicle and arms have also been seized.
