A dangerous and utterly reckless stunt on the Jalandhar-Ludhiana National Highway has left everyone stunned. Small children — just 8 to 10 years old — were seen sticking out of a moving car’s sunroof while the vehicle raced at nearly 70 kmph for over 15 kilometres!
This wasn’t fun — it was a disaster waiting to happen. A single brake or bump could have thrown the kids onto the road, turning this thrill into tragedy.
The shocking act was caught on camera by horrified passers-by, and the video went viral within minutes. The Commissionerate Police immediately tracked down the vehicle, stopped the car, and slapped a ₹5,000 fine on the driver. Officers also severely reprimanded him for putting children’s lives at risk.
“This kind of madness won’t be tolerated. A single mistake could have cost these children their lives,” thundered Inspector Sanjeev Kumar, who led the action.
The driver’s excuse? He claimed the kids were “insisting” on opening the sunroof. But his negligence could have turned fatal — and the police made sure he felt the heat.
The incident took place near Jalandhar Cantt, and police have warned:
