Punjab’s border belt has entered the fast lane of development! The much-awaited Vande Bharat Express from Firozpur to Delhi was officially flagged off today — Prime Minister Narendra Modi did the honours online, while Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu took charge of the grand launch at Firozpur station.

Amid loud cheers and patriotic chants, Bittu declared this move a “game-changer for Punjab’s progress.”
“This is not just a train — it’s a lifeline for the border region. The Vande Bharat Express will power up trade, tourism, and connectivity like never before,” said Bittu.
He asserted that the launch would transform Firozpur into a hub of growth, giving the Malwa region a direct express route to the heart of the nation — Delhi!
The historic launch places Firozpur among the elite cities of India connected by the country’s most advanced train service.
