Jalandhar News: 63.18 lakhs fraud in the name of sending abroad, four named

Hoshiarpur. The district police has registered two cases and named four accused for allegedly cheating 63 lakh 18 thousand rupees on the pretext of sending abroad.

According to the information, Parminder Singh, a resident of the local Mohalla Tibba Sahib, had lodged a complaint with the District Police Chief. He had alleged in his complaint that in the name of sending his daughter Loveleen Kaur to England, travel agent Mohan Kakkar, along with his wife Poonam Kakkar and daughter Twinkle Kakkar, resident of Defense Colony New Delhi, had allegedly taken 18 lakh 18 thousand rupees from him, but after taking the said amount, the accused neither sent his daughter abroad nor returned his money.

On the orders of the SSP, DSP (D) was appointed to investigate the complaint. After the investigation report came, the police of Model Town police station has registered a case against the three alleged accused. Satish Kumar had lodged a complaint with the Mukerian police. He had told that Ranjeet Singh, a resident of village Palaki in Tehsil Mukerian, had allegedly cheated him of Rs 45 lakh in the name of sending his son Mandeep Singh to America on work permit. After registering the case, the police has started further action.
