An 11th-grade student was carrying a gun. The minor had purchased an illegal pistol for 14,000 rupees. His family was unaware of this. The incident took place in Ludhiana, Punjab.
A student studying at a private school in Ludhiana, Punjab, was carrying a pistol. The 11th-grade student’s passion for weapons was so strong that he collected money and purchased a pistol without informing his family. The accused also purchased two cartridges along with the pistol and took it to school. Surprisingly, the student had the pistol and continued carrying it to school, but no one knew about it.
Someone informed the police and expressed concern that the student might commit a serious crime. The police have detained the student. Police from the Kitchlu Nagar outpost have arrested the minor. Police also recovered a .32-bore pistol, two live cartridges, and 50,000 rupees from his possession. He had stolen this money from his home. Police registered a case against the accused minor, presented him in court, and sent him to a juvenile home.
ASI Lakhwinder Singh, in-charge of the Kitchlu Nagar outpost under the jurisdiction of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), stated that a police team had established a blockade in the area. Police received information that a school student was carrying a pistol. Police surrounded the student and apprehended him and interrogated him.
During interrogation, the police were astonished when the minor revealed that he was a grade 11 student. When asked why he owned the weapon, he explained his passion for weapons. He had collected money to buy the pistol and purchased it for 14,000 rupees. The minor had purchased the weapon from a smuggler in Ludhiana. The accused had also taken 50,000 rupees from the house. Police are now investigating who the student purchased the weapon from.
