A new plant of a Dutch company has opened in Rajpura, Patiala, Punjab. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann inaugurated the plant of D. Huys Company.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that due to its industrial and business-friendly environment, Punjab will emerge as the country’s next business hub. On Wednesday, the Chief Minister was in Rajpura, Patiala, to inaugurate the animal feed plant of the Netherlands-based multinational company D. Huys.
The Chief Minister said that the state government has taken several important steps to promote ease of doing business to promote industrial progress. As a result, Punjab’s industrial journey has undergone a significant transformation in the last three years of his government. Mann said that Punjab has so far received investment proposals worth ₹1.23 lakh crore, which is expected to create 4.7 lakh jobs. This is making Punjab a hub of industrial progress and innovation. The Chief Minister said it was a matter of pride and satisfaction that world-renowned companies like Nestlé, Claasen, Freudenberg, Cargill, Verbio, Danone, and many others had chosen Punjab for their business and established operations here, contributing to the state’s economy.
Mann stated that D’Huez has invested ₹150 crore in Punjab, which will create new job opportunities for the youth. Mann stated that the plant has a capacity of 180 kilotons, which can be expanded to 240 kilotons. The company’s total global animal feed manufacturing capacity is 12 million tons. The Chief Minister said that this state-of-the-art plant is equipped with pollution-free technology, which will contribute to a better environment. Mann stated that this is the second major investment in Punjab after Tata Steel. Besides, Verbio, JSW Plant, Cargill, Vardhman, and Oswal have also invested in the state.
Speaking of an emotional partnership with the Netherlands, the Chief Minister said that during his worldwide travels, he had the opportunity to visit Amsterdam, one of the world’s leading cities. He noted that the cultures of the Netherlands and Punjab share many similarities. He added that this important project will greatly benefit Punjab. Bhagwant Singh Mann expressed hope that this state-of-the-art plant will boost Punjab’s dairy industry and provide a strong impetus to the state’s industrial progress.
