PUNJAB EXPLODES: 2 ARRESTED IN KABADDI STAR TEJPAL MURDER — MAIN SHOOTER HONEY CAUGHT, GANG STILL ON THE RUN!

JAGRAON (LUDHIANA):
Police have finally cracked down on the killers of Kabaddi player Tejpal Singh, arresting two key accused, including the main shooter. The arrested men — Harpreet Singh alias Honey from village Rumi and Gagandeep Singh alias Gagana from Killi Chahala, Moga — were hiding after the cold-blooded daylight murder that shook Punjab.

From their possession, cops have seized illegal weapons and live cartridges bought from Rajasthan’s black market. Despite being wanted in another case, Harjobanpreet Singh alias Kala was freely roaming around the city — now absconding with the rest of the gang.

OLD ENMITY — BLOOD SPILLED ON THE STREETS

Police say the killing was the result of a dirty feud. About 20 days ago, Tejpal’s friend Prabhlaldeep Singh had confronted Honey when he allegedly eyed Prabhlaldeep’s wife and sister near Salina Gym in Jagraon. The tension never died down.

On Friday, the rivals crossed paths again — words turned into blows — and then bullets flew. Tejpal Singh, who tried to shield his friend, was shot in the chest by Honey and collapsed on the spot.

⚠️ FAKE SOCIAL MEDIA POST EXPOSED!

A bogus social media post claiming responsibility for the killing was uploaded to divert the police investigation. The SSP confirmed it’s been deleted and was only meant to create confusion.

POSTMORTEM DELAYED — FAMILY IN SHOCK

Police informed the family about the arrests, but the post-mortem has been delayed till Tejpal’s sister returns from abroad. The atmosphere in Gidderwindi village remains tense and grief-stricken.

FATHER’S CRY FOR JUSTICE

In his statement, Tejpal’s father Raghuvir Singh said the accused ambushed his son near Sunhari Kiran Oil Mill. Honey, along with Kala and his gang, attacked without warning — and Honey’s pistol shot straight into Tejpal’s chest.

“My son was innocent… he died protecting his friend,” said the heartbroken father, demanding death penalty for the killers.

POLICE ON MANHUNT

SSP Dr. Ankur Gupta has confirmed that hunt is on for Kala and five to six unidentified accused. Police say more arrests and weapon recoveries are likely soon.
