Amritsar, Punjab: Panic erupted in Amritsar on Dhanteras as an old two-story building near Bharawa Da Dhaba suddenly collapsed on Saturday morning, trapping a worker under the rubble.
According to eyewitnesses, the worker was rescued by locals immediately after the collapse and rushed to a nearby hospital. Fortunately, no one else was inside the building at the time, averting a potentially larger tragedy.
The debris from the collapsed structure was scattered across the road, causing temporary disruption in the area. Local authorities and police have been informed, and a formal investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the collapse.
Residents expressed shock over the incident, highlighting concerns about the safety of old and dilapidated buildings in the city.
