THE DEFIANCE

In a shocking act of arrogance, Jagman Samra, the man accused of creating and sharing a fake video of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, has once again stirred outrage.

In his latest viral clip, Samra boasts that no one can harm him, adding that he escaped from Faridkot jail. The accused — who claims to be a permanent resident of Canada — has also warned police officers not to trouble women in his village, saying they have no connection to his activities.

THE FAKE POSTS AND THE BOAST

According to the Punjab Cyber Police, Samra had shared two fake posts about CM Mann on October 20, both made from abroad.

In those posts, the accused identified himself as a Canadian citizen, claiming that Canada would never extradite him to India.

“Extradition happens only in cases of murder or crimes against the government,” he bragged in one of his earlier statements.

Despite court orders leading to the removal of the fake video from Facebook, Samra continues to post provocative and taunting content on other social media platforms.

️‍♂️ THE INVESTIGATION WIDENS

The Punjab Cyber Police and State Crime Branch have launched a joint investigation into the fake video case.
Teams are working to trace Samra’s digital footprint and are coordinating with central and international agencies to pursue action under relevant cyber laws.

Officials confirmed that technical evidence links Samra to multiple coordinated disinformation activities targeting Punjab’s political leadership.

THE POLITICAL STORM

The issue has set off a political explosion in Punjab.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has gone on the offensive, accusing the Aam Aadmi Party government of failing to protect the Chief Minister’s reputation and the state’s image.

BJP leaders have demanded a judicial inquiry under a sitting High Court judge, terming the episode “a test of Punjab’s cyber security and governance credibility.”

⚖️ THE BOTTOM LINE

While investigators close in, Jagman Samra continues to mock Indian authorities from foreign soil, turning this case into a major embarrassment for Punjab’s administration.

His defiant words —

“No one can touch me.”
have now become the ultimate challenge for Punjab Police:
to track him down, bring him back, and prove him wrong.
