Diwali Terror Plot Foiled: 2.5 KG RDX Brought from Pakistan to Blow Up Chandigarh — Linked to UK, Armenia-Based Terror Network

A massive terror plot to rock Chandigarh during Diwali has been thwarted by Punjab’s State Special Operations Cell (SSOC). The conspiracy, masterminded by Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terrorist Manpreet Singh alias Tiddi, involved 2.5 kilograms of RDX smuggled in from Pakistan through ISI-backed operatives.

According to intelligence inputs, the RDX was dropped near Ajnala via drone from Pakistan and later hidden after security agencies went on high alert ahead of Diwali. Tiddi confessed during interrogation that the RDX was meant for a major explosion in Chandigarh, planned under instructions from terror handlers based in the UK and Armenia.

Pakistan’s ISI and Foreign Terrorists Behind the Plot

Investigations have revealed a direct ISI link to the operation, which was designed to create panic in Punjab and Haryana’s joint capital. The plan involved foreign-based terrorists using Pakistan’s soil to orchestrate the attack through BKI networks active in India.

The accused, Manpreet Singh alias Tiddi, was arrested and produced in court, where he was remanded to two days’ police custody for further interrogation. His mobile phone is under forensic analysis to trace connections and encrypted communications with terrorist leaders abroad.

IED Delivery to Chandigarh Planned

Tiddi was instructed to deliver two IEDs to Chandigarh, but had not yet learned the recipient’s identity — that information was to be revealed “on the spot” by his handlers abroad. Officials have confirmed that he maintained regular communication with wanted terrorist Harvinder Singh alias Rinda, a key BKI operative working closely with Pakistan’s ISI.

Deep Global Nexus: Links to Gangsters in the US, Australia, and Germany

In a chilling revelation, Tiddi admitted to having direct links with international gangsters including Agwan, Nishan Jodian, Raja Haruwal, and Sajan Masih, based in countries like the US, Australia, and Germany.

He had previously spent one and a half years in jail, where he came into contact with Rinda — a turning point that pushed him deeper into the terror network. Rinda allegedly connected him to global gangsters and BKI operatives via encrypted mobile communication channels.

Security Agencies on High Alert

The foiled plot underscores Pakistan’s continued attempts to destabilize Punjab through terror and drones. Security has been further intensified across Chandigarh, Mohali, and surrounding regions, especially with the festive season underway.

Officials confirmed that the prompt action of SSOC Punjab averted a potential Diwali disaster that could have caused massive casualties and panic in the region.
