Ferozepur: In a brazen display of lawlessness, two armed assailants stormed into Mochi Bazaar on Saturday night and executed Naveen Arora, son of senior RSS leader Baldev Raj Arora, with a point-blank shot to the head. The gruesome attack in the heart of a crowded marketplace triggered mass panic, with people running for cover as the killers fled toward Baan Bazaar.

According to eyewitnesses, the attackers had clearly monitored Naveen’s routine. As he shut his shop and prepared to leave, the duo approached him near UCO Bank, fired a single fatal shot, and vanished within seconds—indicating a well-planned, precision strike.
Naveen was rushed to a private hospital, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Local residents, traders and RSS workers are furious, calling the killing a deliberate attempt to spread terror. RSS worker Rajesh Khurana confirmed that Naveen was the grandson of Dinanath Arora, a pre-independence RSS leader. “This was not a random crime. This was a cold-blooded hit,” he said.
Family member Ashok Bahl echoed similar concerns, stating that Naveen’s family had long been associated with the RSS. “This was planned. They conducted a recce. This was meant to destabilize the city,” he alleged.

Police have sealed off sections of the market and launched an intensive manhunt. Senior officers say CCTV footage is being pulled from all nearby shops and intersections. While the motive is not yet officially confirmed, the brutality and precision of the attack point toward a targeted assassination.
Tension remains high in the city, with traders demanding immediate arrests and stricter security measures as the investigation intensifies.
