ZIRAKPUR – In a late-evening crackdown, the Excise Department raided Lovely Dhaba in Shatabgarh village, seizing a significant cache of illicit liquor intended for sale exclusively in Chandigarh.
The operation was led by Excise Inspector Gurpreet Singh Dhaliwal following a tip-off regarding illegal sales at the establishment. According to departmental sources, the dhaba was being used as a front to distribute liquor illegally to local patrons.

Seizure: A large quantity of “Chandigarh-only” English and country liquor, including full bottles, adhiyas (half bottles), and pauas (quarter bottles).

The police have confiscated the contraband and registered an official case against Dalvir Singh. A thorough investigation is currently underway to determine the source of the liquor and the duration of the illegal operation.
