Panchkula:
Marking the completion of its first year in office, the Nayab Singh Saini-led Haryana government celebrated its anniversary on Friday with a state-level program at the Indradhanush Auditorium in Panchkula. Chief Minister Nayab Saini attended the main event, while Union Ministers, Cabinet Ministers, and MPs joined celebrations organized simultaneously in their respective constituencies.

According to government data, the Saini administration has fulfilled 46 out of 217 pre-election promises within its first year. Work is currently underway on 158 promises, and officials claim that over 90 commitments will be completed by the end of this financial year
Government Announces “Anniversary Gifts” for the Public
On this occasion, the Haryana government announced a series of welfare measures and public benefits.
At the Panchkula event, the Chief Minister distributed residential plot allotment letters to around 9,000 beneficiaries under the Chief Minister Rural Housing Scheme 2.0, with an additional 500 flats expected to be allocated.
Moreover, crores worth of development grants were released to various Panchayats.
A theme song and a coffee table book highlighting the government’s one-year achievements were also unveiled during the celebration.
Key Achievements in the First Year
In its inaugural year, the Saini government made several landmark decisions and welfare moves:

Employment: Over 24,000 youth were given Group C government jobs.

Healthcare: Free dialysis services were made available in all district hospitals and medical colleges.

Recruitment: The Haryana Public Service Commission appointed 1,311 candidates in Group A and B posts.

Contract Employee Security: Job security was extended to contract employees, guest faculty, and lecturers in the first Assembly session.
Pro-Farmer and Welfare-Oriented Initiatives
The government issued a notification for MSP procurement on all crops, ensuring direct benefit transfers (DBT) to farmers within 48 hours of sale. Payments were made via the e-procurement system, which also allows farmers to generate gate passes from home.

Pension for Satyagrahis raised from ₹15,000 to ₹20,000.

A 5-year jail term introduced for manufacturing or selling fake fertilizers, seeds, and pesticides.

Digital library memberships for all government college students.

₹25 lakh loan guarantee for OBC entrepreneurs under the Mudra Scheme.

₹2,100 monthly financial aid for women beneficiaries under the Deen Dayal Lado Laxmi Yojana.
Scholarships and Women-Centric Benefits
The Saini government launched scholarships for children of martyred soldiers—₹60,000 annually for classes 6–12, ₹72,000 for graduation, and ₹96,000 for post-graduation.
Female government employees can now choose their own monthly leave days, and athletes receive ₹500 per day as a diet allowance.
