DIG Bhullar Bribery Scandal Explodes: Middleman Names Two Punjab Cops, Dubai–Canada Properties Under Scanner

The Rs. 5 lakh bribery case against suspended Punjab DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar has taken a sensational turn. Middleman Krishanu, during CBI remand, has dropped the names of two Punjab Police officers allegedly involved in Bhullar’s money deals.

100 GB of explosive dataincluding WhatsApp chats, calls, and money records—has been recovered from Krishanu’s phone, exposing a deep-rooted nexus of bribes, transfers, and favors. The CBI grilled Krishanu for nearly seven hours on the first day of his remand.

Meanwhile, Bhullar—who was caught accepting a bribe from a scrap dealer—will appear before a special CBI court today as his judicial custody ends. Sources say the agency may seek fresh remand to confront Bhullar and Krishanu face-to-face.

Adding to the storm, the CBI has contacted central agencies over documents exposing Bhullar’s foreign empire—including 4–5 luxury flats, villas, and hotels in Dubai and Canada. These assets are now under verification.

Diary of Deals: Krishanu’s diary entries reveal a web of interest-based money lending and “commission for work” payments. The CBI is now tracing the individuals listed in it.

Next Phase: The CBI team is preparing to take Krishanu to Patiala and Mandi Gobindgarh, where his links to influential businessmen have surfaced. He also visited Bhullar’s Ludhiana farmhouse, now a key part of the probe.

How the Network Worked: Using his contacts among IAS, IPS officers, and politicians, Krishanu arranged property registrations, arms licenses, and police transfers—charging between ₹50,000 to ₹2 lakh per deal. The CBI has also recovered chats detailing these transactions.
