Jalandhar: Punjabi youth murdered in Canada, four bullets fired outside the house; wife is pregnant

Inderpal had gone to Edmonton, Canada about one and a half years ago. He used to work as a taxi driver there. Inderpal’s wife is pregnant. He had called his wife on a work permit. He lived there with his wife and 8-year-old daughter.

A youth from Punjab has been shot dead in Canada. The deceased youth has been identified as Inderpal Singh, who is a resident of village Jand in Ludhiana district.

Inderpal used to drive an Uber taxi in Canada. He had just parked the taxi outside the house when suddenly an unknown person came and fired four bullets at him. Inderpal died on the spot due to the bullet injury.

Inderpal’s friend Harry said that he died after being hit by four bullets. In the house where Inderpal lived, some other young men also lived on rent. Now it is not clear whether the target of the person who fired the bullets was any of those young men or Inderpal himself. According to Harry, the financial condition of the family is very fragile. Funds are also being collected on many social sites so that the family can be helped.

Inderpal Singh came to Canada from Hong Kong about one and a half years ago. According to the preliminary investigation, the police suspect that the murder is related to some personal enmity or gang war. At present, the police is investigating the case.
