Rebellion in SAD: Ruckus over removal of Jathedars, why is Bhundar angry at Majithia? Accusation of conspiracy against Sukhbir

Shiromani Akali Dal’s working president Balwinder Singh Bhundar has called the statement issued by Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia and his colleagues a conspiracy.

Senior Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia has expressed disagreement with the decision of the interim committee to remove Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Jathedar Giani Sultan Singh of Sri Keshgarh Sahib. Majithia said that the respect of Sri Akal Takht Sahib is paramount. Majithia said that the regional party Shiromani Akali Dal, born from Akal Takht Sahib, needs to unite today.

Due to the internal factionalism of the Akali Dal and the leaders of the reform wave, the party is becoming a victim of many conspiracies today. Majithia said that for the strengthening of Akali Dal, all the leaders need to come together on one platform and find a solution to this. Along with Majithia, Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, Akali Dal core committee member Lakhbir Singh Lodhinangal, Ajnala constituency in-charge Jodh Singh Samra, Mukeria constituency in-charge Sarabjot Singh Sabi, Gurdaspur district head Ramandeep Singh Sandhu and youth leader Simranjit Singh Dhillon have also expressed disagreement on the decision of the interim committee.

Shiromani Akali Dal working president Balwinder Singh Bhundar has called the statement issued by Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia and his colleagues a conspiracy. Bhundar said that Majithia’s statement has deeply hurt the most senior and elderly leaders of the party. Bhundar said that Majithia has done wrong by questioning the decision of SGPC. The first president of this committee was Majithia’s great grandfather Sundar Singh Majithia, who laid its foundation. The decision of the SGPC has been taken after a long deliberation. Majithia was brought up by Harsimrat Kaur Badal since childhood and he received great respect as a part of the Badal family. Sukhbir Singh Badal helped Majithia in difficult times, but now Majithia is hatching a new conspiracy against him.

Bhunder also said that Majithia should have acknowledged the contribution of former CM Prakash Singh Badal and stood with the party stream under his guidance. Instead of becoming a part of the conspiracies of the opponents, he should fight them together. Every leader and worker of the party has the full right to express his views, but Majithia’s statement is unacceptable.

Sikhs of Haryana are with the Akali Dal – Baldev Kaimpuri

Haryana Sikh Panth Dal chief Baldev Singh Kaimpuri said, Sikhs of Haryana are with the Akali Dal. BJP’s puppets are engaged in weakening the party. Kaimpuri said that the Sikh Sangat of Haryana understands why the recent decisions including the removal of Jathedars have been taken by the SGPC in the interest of the Panth. They also understand that this decision has been taken to strengthen the Panth and stop those who have become puppets in the hands of central agencies. They were trying to weaken the SGPC as well as the Akali Dal and divide the Sikh community. Regarding the leaders who claimed to have resigned from the party, Kaimpuri said that these leaders have already been shown the way out by the Akali Dal, as they betrayed the party during the Haryana Gurdwara elections. The leaders had already proved that they are not loyal to the party by supporting the RSS-sponsored candidates. They are not Akalis in any way.
