Delhi: Bulldozer action on Kalkaji’s landless camp, DDA’s campaign against encroachment continues on the orders of the High Court

Due to the bulldozer action, a large number of police forces are deployed in the entire area. DDA has issued a notice to remove the slums. Residents were instructed to vacate their slums by June 10.

After Madrasi Camp, Wazirpur, now bulldozer action is being taken on the landless camp of Kalkaji in Delhi. A large number of police forces are deployed in the entire area.

Earlier on Monday, the Delhi Development Authority issued an official notice to all the residents of the landless camp in Kalkaji Extension in South Delhi following the instructions of the High Court, instructing them to vacate their premises in view of the upcoming demolition of illegal huts.

DDA issued notices to vacate the house here on the orders of the court. A large number of police forces were seen parading on the spot since Tuesday afternoon. People were detained by the police for opposing the action.

On Tuesday, Aam Aadmi Party leaders reached the landless camp in Kalkaji assembly constituency during the demolition process of slums. They met the local people and assured them of every help. Delhi’s Leader of Opposition Atishi alleged that BJP got her arrested for raising the voice of slum dwellers.
