Sidhu Moosewala was killed by six shooters in Jawaharke village of Mansa district on 29 May 2022.
BBC has released two episodes of The Calling Killing on Punjabi singer Shubhdeep alias Sidhu Moosewala. Both these episodes show the journey of Shubhdeep to become Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. In this documentary, BBC has also presented the interview given by gangster Goldie Brar and his confession.
Goldie Brar also told the reason
In this BBC documentary, gangster Goldie Brar has taken responsibility for the murder of Sidhu Moosewala. Goldie Brar has said that the biggest reason behind the murder of Moosewala was the murder of Vicky Middukheda outside an ATM in Mohali in August 2021.
Goldie Brar said in an interview to BBC that Middukhera had made peace between gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and Sidhu Moosewala. Despite the peace, Middukhera was murdered. It was claimed that Shaganpreet Singh, a close aide of Sidhu Moosewala, was involved in this murder.
Killed with complete planning
Goldie Brar said that he had made a complete plan to get Sidhu Moosewala killed to avenge Middukhera’s death. Goldie Brar even claimed that Sidhu Moosewala was using his political network and police against the people of his gang. He was helping the people of his enemy gang, due to which Lawrence and Goldie Brar’s enmity with Moosewala increased.
It was told in the BBC documentary that Sidhu Moosewala was warned several times to back off, but he did not listen, due to which Lawrence Bishnoi and other gang members were angry with him. BBC released this documentary on 11 June on the occasion of Sidhu Moosewala’s birthday. However, Sidhu Moosewala’s father Balkaur Singh has expressed objection to this. He has appealed against this documentary in the court.
