Authorities recovered a sophisticated and powerful rifle near the spot on Thursday. It is known as a bolt action rifle, which is more accurate than semi-automatic rifles. Officials said that after the firing, the shooter jumped from the roof and ran towards the forest. A sketch of the suspect was also released. Officials said that more than 7,000 clues and information have been received. Neither the name of the suspect nor any reason behind this murder has been given yet.

The FBI had sought help

The FBI released two pictures of a suspect related to a shooting late Thursday evening and appealed to the public for information. In the pictures, a person is seen wearing a hat, dark glasses and a black full-sleeve shirt. Law enforcement agencies said a Mauser .30 caliber bolt-action rifle was found wrapped in a towel in the woods near the university campus. It contained a spent cartridge and three more bullets in the magazine. The weapon and bullets are being examined at a federal laboratory.
