The probe will examine the chain of events that led to the serious law and order breakdown, the actions of law enforcement, and the deaths of four individuals during the unrest.

According to the Home Ministry, the inquiry will ensure transparency and accountability in understanding the causes and consequences of the violence.

“To ensure a fair and impartial investigation, the Ministry of Home Affairs has constituted a judicial commission under the chairmanship of former Supreme Court Judge Dr. B.S. Chauhan. The inquiry will examine the circumstances that led to the law and order situation, the police action taken, and the unfortunate deaths of four persons,” the Ministry said in a statement.
