Trump’s Shocking Claim: “I Stopped India-Pakistan WAR by Threatening 200% Tariffs” — Mentions 7 Planes Shot Down!

Washington: Donald Trump is back with another explosive claim — saying he single-handedly stopped a war between India and Pakistan by threatening 200% tariffs.

In a fiery interview, Trump boasted, “They were at war. Seven planes were shot down — it could’ve gone nuclear. I told them, we’ll slap 200% tariffs, and within 24 hours, the war was over.”

He even claimed Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif praised him for “saving millions of lives.”

Trump has repeated this story dozens of times, insisting his “deal-making power” forced both countries to back off. But India has slammed his claims, calling them baseless and delusional — reaffirming that the ceasefire came through direct military dialogue, not Trump’s “threats.”

Trump’s statement has reignited tensions online, with critics accusing him of fabricating international heroism and dragging South Asia into his political drama.

Once again, Trump’s words have sparked outrage in New Delhi — and disbelief across global diplomatic circles.
