A total of six criminal cases are registered against Vikramjit Singh Vicky, resident of village Thatta of police station Jhabbal, in police station Jhabbal, Bhikhiwind and Amritsar.
Anti Gangster Task Force (AGTF) led by DSP Vikramjit Singh Brar arrested Vikramjit Singh Vicky and Harpreet Singh Prince on Tuesday night. Both were planning to commit a major crime. Both the miscreants have been produced in the court and taken on police remand.
AGTF AIG Sandeep Goyal said that a total of six criminal cases are registered against Vikramjit Singh Vicky, resident of village Thatta of police station Jhabbal, in police station Jhabbal, Bhikhiwind and Amritsar. Vicky, along with his associate Harpreet Singh Prince, carries out the crime of firing for extortion at the behest of terrorist Lakhbir Singh Harike sitting abroad.
Information was received that both the miscreants were planning to commit a crime with weapons. On the basis of which, a blockade was done by Sub Inspector Chandra Mohan, ASI Yadvinder Singh under the leadership of DSP Vikramjit Singh Brar. Both of them tried to run away. The team surrounded them and caught both of them and searched them. Two pistols (32 bore and 315 bore) and nine cartridges were recovered from their possession. AIG Goyal said that during the preliminary interrogation, the criminals admitted that they were given the target of firing bullets by Lakhbir Singh Harike to collect extortion money from Tarn Taran area.
