Punjab’s most talked-about hit-and-run case has taken a dramatic turn. Prince, the prime accused in the killing of Richie KP, son of former MP Mohinder Singh KP, has finally surrendered after being on the run for 45 days.

The Jalandhar Police nabbed the accused after weeks of relentless pursuit. The court has now remanded Prince to two days’ police custody for interrogation.
The deadly accident happened on September 13, 2025, in Model Town, Jalandhar, when Prince’s Creta SUV rammed into Richie’s Fortuner, killing him instantly. Prince fled the scene, triggering a massive manhunt that spread to Punjab and Delhi.
Police had earlier arrested two of Prince’s brothers-in-law for shielding and hiding the accused. After a 45-day chase and nationwide outrage, Prince finally gave up and surrendered to the authorities.

Now, all eyes are on the police investigation — who helped Prince vanish for over a month? And will justice finally be delivered for Richie KP?
