District Magistrate Ashika Jain has directed to provide information about tenants, servants, paying guests to the nearest police station within a week. She has issued orders using the powers conferred under Section-163 of the Indian Civil Security Act 2023. According to him, provide information about those living under the jurisdiction of Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats and Gram Panchayats situated within the limits of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar district.
He said that many people from other states and outside districts come to the district for jobs or their work. Students, learners, people associated with various professions, businesses and employees providing services in call centers are also living on rent as paying guests, students who have come from other states to study in educational institutions, organizations. These orders will remain effective from February 11, 2025 to April 10, 2025.
