At the same time, two cousins Sandeep and Pradeep of Rajpura, who were deported from America, have been arrested by the police at Amritsar airport itself. Police have arrested both of them in a murder case in June 2023. A case of murder is registered against both the cousins. Both the accused youths had fled to America through a donkey. As soon as both of them reached Amritsar airport late on Sunday night, the airport authority took Sandeep and Pradeep into custody. In this regard, the police of the airport station arrested both of them and handed them over to the Patiala police.
Family alleges that they were implicated in a false case.
Sandeep and Pradeep, residents of Rajpura Vikas Nagar, are the sons of an uncle. A murder case was already registered against them in Rajpura. The family members of Sandeep and Pradeep told that they had sent both the sons abroad by paying Rs 1 crore 20 lakh to the agent. The family had also sold 3 acres of land for the money. The agent had said at that time that he would send both of them to America legally. The family has demanded from the Punjab government that the children have been implicated in a false case. Their cases should be dismissed and the children should be sent back home.
Parents were not allowed to meet them.
The parents of Sandeep and Pradeep were not allowed to meet them in the police station and court premises. The parents of Sandeep Singh and Pradeep Singh had come to Rajpura City Police Station to meet them. Family members said that we came to know that our children were taken over by the police from Amritsar airport itself, after which they were handed over to Rajpura police. We were not allowed to meet our sons at all in Rajpura City Police Station and Court premises.

The murder case is of 25 June 2023, when an AAP supporter Swarn Singh was attacked with sharp weapons and killed. Another person was also injured in this attack. Police had registered a case against many people in this case, including Sandeep and Pradeep.
