On the orders of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, all pending complaints are being settled by the Vigilance. Vigilance has registered a case against the XEN for amassing disproportionate assets only after taking advice from legal experts.
Vigilance has taken major action against corruption in Bathinda. On Tuesday, Vigilance has registered a case against XEN Gurpreet Singh posted in Bathinda Municipal Corporation in the disproportionate assets case.
Vigilance DSP Kulwant Singh said that a raid was also conducted at the house to arrest the XEN, but the accused has gone underground. Vigilance has taken this action on a complaint pending against the XEN for a long time. It is alleged that XEN Gurpreet Singh, who was posted in the corporation during the Congress government, had amassed disproportionate assets. A complaint had reached the Vigilance in this regard.
