41-year-old YouTuber Jasbir Singh alias Jaan Mahal, a resident of village Mahalan in Rupnagar district of Punjab, was arrested on June 4 on charges of spying for Pakistan. He was produced in Mohali court on Monday. From where he has been sent to judicial custody.

YouTuber Jasbir Singh, arrested on charges of spying for Pakistan, was produced in Mohali court on Monday. Jasbir Singh was arrested by Punjab Police on June 4 on charges of espionage. Since then he was on police remand. Jasbir Singh was produced in Mohali court on Monday, from where the court has sent him to 14 days judicial custody. Now he will be produced again in court on June 23. Jasbir Singh runs a YouTube channel called Jaan Mahal.
According to the police, Jasbir Singh was allegedly in contact with Shakir alias Jatt Randhawa, an operative of Pakistan’s intelligence agency. Jatt Randhawa is part of a terrorist-backed espionage network. Apart from this, Jasbir was also in contact with Haryana YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra and Pakistani citizen Ehsan-ur-Rahim alias Danish (who is an expelled officer from the Pak High Commission). The police is investigating further considering the seriousness of the matter.
More than 11 lakh subscribers on YouTube channel
Punjab Police arrested 41-year-old YouTuber Jasbir Singh alias Jaan Mahal, a resident of Mahalan village in Rupnagar district, on charges of espionage and produced him in Mohali court. Jasbir Singh’s YouTube channel has more than 11 lakh subscribers and on which he used to post blogs related to travel and cooking.
Jasbir went to Pakistan three times
Investigation revealed that Jasbir Singh went to Pakistan three times in 2020, 2021 and 2024. There he met ISI officials and Pakistan Army officers who prepared him for espionage activities in India.
Also met Pak Army officials
The investigation has also revealed that Jasbir Singh also attended the Pakistan Day program held in Delhi on August 14. Jasbir Singh was invited by Pakistani citizen Ehsan-ur-Rahim alias Danish for this program. Jasbir Singh met Pakistani Army officials and bloggers in this program.
Jasbir tried to destroy evidence
The police investigation has also revealed that Jasbir Singh also had a conversation with Haryana YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra. Both of them also went to Pakistan together. Jyoti Malhotra has been sent to judicial custody on charges of spying for Pakistan. After Jyoti’s arrest, Jasbir tried to destroy all evidence of his conversation with his Pakistani intelligence contacts.
Jasbir was sending army related activities to Pakistan
The police claim that Jasbir Singh passed on the activities of the Indian Army and sensitive information of the country to Pakistan. At present, the police is investigating this terrorist-supported espionage network in depth.
