Amritsar Rural Police, in a joint operation with the Border Security Force Punjab, achieved a major success. Police recovered 3 kilograms of Ice (methamphetamine) during a surprise check near Bhaini Rajputan village. This drug is said to be of high quality and is valued in the international market at crores of rupees.
According to reports, this operation was carried out based on intelligence shared by the police and BSF. Police have registered an FIR in this matter at the Gharinda police station. Technical investigations are underway to identify the drug smugglers and expose their network.

SSP Rural Maninder Singh stated that this seizure is likely to expose a major drug smuggling network. He said that the Punjab Police’s goal is to make the state drug-free and strict action is being taken towards this end. He added that no one involved in the drug trade will be spared.
