A driver for the online shopping app Flipkart and his assistant committed a major crime in Punjab. Goods worth approximately Rs 1.21 crore were stolen from a Flipkart truck in Khanna. The truck driver and his assistant stole 234 parcels, including 221 Apple iPhones, five other high-end mobile phones, and other products. The incident sent shockwaves through authorities and the e-commerce company.

According to police, Nasir, a resident of Bharatpur, Rajasthan, was hired as a truck driver by a logistics firm just 10 days ago. Nasir, along with his assistant Chet, abandoned the truck at a warehouse in Khanna and fled. The FIR was filed based on the statement of Pritam Sharma, a resident of Mahendragarh, Haryana, who works as a field operation manager at a Gurugram-based logistics firm.

Pritam Sharma stated in his complaint that the firm had hired Nasir only 10 days earlier. On September 27, Nasir and Chet loaded 11,677 parcels into a truck to be delivered from Bhiwandi, Mumbai, to a warehouse in Khanna. Chet drove the truck to the warehouse and fled, leaving the vehicle unattended. When e-commerce employees scanned the parcels, they found 234 parcels missing.

Raids in Search of the Accused
They immediately alerted the logistics firm and filed a police complaint. They alleged that the accused had stolen the Apple iPhones as part of a conspiracy. Station House Officer (SHO) of Sadar Khanna Police Station, Satnam Singh, stated that a case has been registered against both Nasir and Chet. Police teams are conducting raids. Police say that both accused will be apprehended soon.
