The Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) and Barnala police have jointly arrested two criminals associated with the Bambiha gang. A large cache of weapons has also been recovered from the accused.

Punjab Police has achieved a major success. Two Bambiha gang members have been arrested during a joint operation between the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) and Barnala Police. Police have also recovered a large quantity of weapons from these criminals. The accused have been identified as Sandeep Singh and Shekhar.
Police have recovered a total of six pistols (one PX5, four .32 bore, and one .30 bore pistol) and 19 live cartridges from the accused.
Initial police investigations have revealed that the two criminals, at the behest of their foreign handlers, were planning to supply these weapons to the foot soldiers of the Bambiha gang, so that they could carry out sensational crimes in the state.

The police are now investigating the backward and forward links of this supply chain to identify the entire network and dismantle it.
