The sudden death of renowned Indian bodybuilder and actor Varinder Singh Ghuman has left fans and family members in shock, with his loved ones now demanding a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding his demise.
Ghuman, who was known as the world’s first vegetarian bodybuilder and a popular figure in Punjabi cinema, passed away on Thursday, October 9, reportedly after suffering two heart attacks during a medical procedure at Fortis Hospital in Amritsar.
However, his family has raised serious concerns over the official explanation of his death, alleging possible medical negligence and even hinting at a larger conspiracy.
In a post shared on his official Instagram account, the family wrote,
“Varinder Ghuman’s death is not a single question, but a sea of questions. If it was really a heart attack, why did his body turn blue? Where are the operation theatre videos and other evidence? This matter demands a fair and transparent investigation.”
The family further stated that they are not directly accusing anyone, but they want the truth to come out.
“We are not blaming anyone, but we want justice. The truth can be hidden for a while, but it cannot be erased,” the post read.
According to close friends, Ghuman had been undergoing an operation at Fortis Hospital when he reportedly suffered two cardiac arrests. One of his friends, Anil Gill, has publicly demanded an inquiry, stating that questions remain unanswered about the sudden bluish discoloration of Ghuman’s body following his death.
The social media campaign for justice has quickly gained traction, with fans and admirers across India and abroad sharing the hashtag #JusticeForVarinderGhuman.
In another emotional post, the family wrote,
“Varinder Ghuman didn’t deserve this. He wasn’t just a bodybuilder — he was the pride of Punjab, an icon of India, and the epitome of fitness.”
