A proud moment for the people of Baltana and Zirakpur — local Taekwondo icon Harjinder Singh has been appointed as the Chief Coach of the Indian Taekwondo National Team for the upcoming 3rd Asian Youth Games, scheduled to be held from October 24 to 26, 2025, in Bahrain.

Hailing from Baltana, Harjinder Singh has dedicated his life to the sport of Taekwondo, earning immense respect both as an athlete and as a mentor. Over the years, he has trained and guided numerous Indian players who have gone on to win medals at the World Taekwondo Championships and several other international tournaments, bringing glory to the nation.

Expressing his pride over the new role, Harjinder Singh said:
“I feel deeply honored to represent my nation once again, this time as the Chief Coach of the Indian National Team. It’s a proud moment for me and for my hometown, Baltana and Zirakpur. I will continue to give my best efforts to ensure that our athletes make the country proud at the Asian Youth Games.”
