CHANDIGARH – In a significant move to curb rising instances of immigration fraud, the Chandigarh Police has initiated an aggressive crackdown, registering 21 First Information Reports (FIRs) over a 20-day period.
The operation has brought 15 immigration agencies under intense official scrutiny. Authorities have estimated that the total financial impact of the alleged fraudulent activities linked to these agencies amounts to approximately ₹2.99 crore.
